Classification
In the literature, glutathione (GSH) is classified as a tripeptide (glutamic acid, cysteine, glycine) that takes part in enzymatic reactions of redox balance. The presentation is RUO and concerns laboratory models of redox observation.
Redox markers and indicators
The literature discusses it in relation to ROS/RNS neutralisation, the GSH/GSSG cycle, glutathione S-transferase (GST) and phase II biotransformation markers in laboratory models. The reading concerns redox status and cellular classification, not outcome claims.
Cellular observation
In research models, intracellular GSH levels are presented as markers of redox balance and cellular observation. Changes in GSH levels are used as a laboratory marker in models of senescence and metabolic signalling, without implying any therapeutic or protective effect.
