    When the peptide does not dissolve adequately at neutral pH — it stays undissolved or gives a cloudy suspension. For most peptides bacteriostatic water is sufficient.
    Why does acidic pH help solubility?
    Peptides with basic amino acids take on positive charge in an acidic environment. Charged molecules repel one another instead of aggregating, so they go into solution more readily.
    Can I use it multiple times?
    No. It contains no preservative, so the vial is intended for single use.
    Does acidic pH affect the experiment?
    It can. In some biological systems the pH must be accounted for or neutralized. That is a judgement for the laboratory protocol.
